Last Class 11 in industrial service preserved

MORE than 40 years after withdrawal from BR, the last Class 11 which was still in commercial use has been sold for preservation. 12088, a former HNRC machine which had been based at UK Coal’s Widdrington Disposal Point since 1996 and then stored at Butterwell from 2011, has been sold to a member of the Aln Valley Railway.
