Goodwick railway station near Fishguard to reopen

Abandoned for over four decades, Fishguard is set to welcome the reopening of the former Great Western Railway station at Goodwick.

After being closed since April 6, 1964, Goodwick station is to reopen in March. The cost of the rebuild is put at £325,000. The opening should make train travel more attractive as the station is far closer to Fishguard town than the terminal station at the ferry terminal.
