Ribble Steam Railway plans shed expansion

Plans to extend Preston’s popular steam railway are set to be given the go-ahead by city planners. The Ribble Steam Railway, which runs steam trips along the track from its base on Chain Caul Way to the junction with Strand Road, is looking to extend the huge shed it keeps its locomotives in. It is taking on new engines and wagons having merged with the Furness Railway Trust in Cumbria.
