Special services for Amersham Heritage Day

by

AS part of the annual Amersham Heritage Day event, former BR Class 438 4-TC set No. 428 will be in action between Amersham and Harrow-on-the-Hill on Saturday and Sunday September 10-11.

LTM’s 4-TC has already been in use this year at various heritage line galas, including the Severn Valley Railway’s diesel event in May, after which it is pictured at Tilehurst, Berkshire, being hauled back to the London Underground depot at West Ruislip by GBRf Type 5 No. 66763 Severn Valley Railway. Four journeys are planned to be run by LU and the London Transport Museum. The 4-TC will be used alongside the LT Museum’s restored Jubilee coach No. 353, which was built in 1892, with steam traction using locos No.1 and L150 at either end.
