Outline details released for Thameslink 2018 timetable

Govia Thameslink Railway is seeking views on the proposed intensive timetable that will connect more destinations to the north and south of London.

GOVIA Thameslink Railway has commenced consultations on the future timetable that will be introduced progressively between January and December 2018, when the re-modelling of the track layout at London Bridge has been completed.

In addition to written inputs, a series of meetings have been organised at principal stations during October and November. Any comments must be submitted and fed back by December 8.

There has been a significant increase in passenger demand since the project was first described as Thameslink 2000, with growth since then of 135% at London Bridge, 94% at Blackfriars, 71% at King’s Cross and 80% at St Pancras. Growth at other terminals served by GTR is 94% at Victoria and 187% at Moorgate.
